John Ajaka appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Roads A new Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Roads, John Ajaka, has been appointed to work alongside Minister for Transport Gladys Berejiklian and Minister for Roads and Ports Duncan Gay. Mr Ajaka, a member of the Legislative Council, is one of 13 parliamentary secretaries announced by NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell and Deputy Premier Andrew Stoner. Parliamentary secretaries meet with stakeholders and members of the public, represent ministers at public events and help to formulate government policy. |
The NSW Government has established a project team to progress the planning and delivery of the new North West rail link, a 23-kilometre rail line between Epping and Rouse Hill. The project includes construction of six new stations at Cherrybrook (Franklin Road), Castle Hill, The Hills Centre, Norwest Business Park, Kellyville (Burns Road) and Rouse Hill. The North West rail link will include approximately 3,000 park and ride spaces and bus interchange facilities. |

Fast track of North West rail link underway NSW Premier and Minister for Western Sydney Barry O’Farrell and the Minister for Transport Gladys Berejiklian today unveiled the NSW Government’s strategy to speed up planning and construction of the North West rail link. Mr O’Farrell said fast-tracking the link was a priority. A project team has already been established to accelerate work and a new community information centre will be established soon, he said. |

Metrobus M92 linking Sutherland and Parramatta starts today Getting to major transport interchanges at Sutherland and Parramatta is now easier with the newest addition to the popular Metrobus network, the M92, which commenced on Monday, March 14. Metrobus M92 connects Sutherland, Menai, Padstow, Bankstown, Lidcombe, Silverwater and Parramatta, providing an extra 840 bus services a week and more than 48,000 additional spaces for passengers. The M92 runs seven days a week, every 10 minutes in the weekday peak, every 15 minutes in the weekday off-peak and every 20 minutes in the evenings and on weekends. |
